Keeping the stand

Being able, being strong, being capable, being “it”, being what God always wanted you to be.

Whats it like really?
You doing it right?
Yes I’m doing it “The Christian” way of course. So that’s the right way, it says it in the Bible so it’s all good. The thing is we doing it the right way?

Are we doing it the actual Christian way?
Sadly its not so, we aren’t.

Thing we do, things we say, things we impress upon others – its not all good. We think because we are Christian we are doing it the right way?

I see Christians taking swearing, blaspheming, smoking, drinking and getting drunk of all things. It’s not right for us to be doing these things, people, the world, satan watches us, waits for us to mess up, waiting to entice us.

We step out of line once and people judge us,
“Look at him, he’s a Christian, he swears so it’s fine for me to do it”. Rubbish! Why do we constantly do this to ourselves?

We do something wrong and satan is clever, he sees our errors, our mistakes, our weaknesses and exploits them. He is always watching and rubs it in our faces all the time. Keeping the stand is hard especially when it’s in an area where you are weak.

Unfortunately it often is, and we do mess up, we do commit those sins. And we all know what’s done is done, and we can’t go back to it and do it again. We know that all too well, so why do we keep holding onto the past? We need to give it to God quickly, we shouldn’t linger and cling to the problem, we should let it go.

Once it’s gone, we can move on, we’ve closed that door and can open new ones, good ones, ones from God. Ones that He will always open for us if we ask him, it all comes in time and we need to acknowledge that.

Of course like most big problems in our lives they take time to heal, but we need to understand that before healing comes realising that you have a problem and need help on it, counselling, prayer or whatever.

Asking God to heal you and asking other people to pray for you is good, by consolidating these two, we can receive remedial help.

So we have to make sure we are giving the correct impressions on people, especially NC’s (non-Christians).

If we tend to suffer with sin, and not receiving healing we need to deel with that, just keep this verse with you:

1Peter 4:16 If any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
